Our Rental Fleet consists of current model BMW Motorcycles which only spend a maximum time of 12 months on the fleet or 17000km which ever comes first, this will allow you the pleasure of renting a near new current BMW Motorcycle. You can be confident in the mechanical reliability of our fleet, given the combination of low kilometres and Factory recommended servicing carried out by one of our Master Technicians. You will also have peace of mind with our complimentary 24 hour road side assistance. 

There are no hidden costs or charges. The daily rental rates include unlimited kilometres, comprehensive liability and collision insurance, the use of a BMW Australian approved helmet and genuine BMW Rain suit. Secure luggage storage is also available.

All BMW Motorcycles are fitted with panniers for ease of touring and storage on the motorcycle. The panniers are removable upon request.

Southbank Motorcycles offers free CBD Hotel and Airport pick ups, prior request essential. We are conveniently located on City Road just 20 minutes from Melbourne Airport.

 If you are part of a BMW club worldwide we will offer you a 10% discount on the rental rate (current BMW Club card or letter form the club stating that you are a current member will need to be presented at time of hire).

In case you are not aware, we have a full range of BMW Rider Equipment for purchase. It might be nice to take home the Rider Equipement that you toured Australia in. You can contact our Accessories department for purchase.

Southbank Motorcycles will require a few simple things before renting our BMW Motorcycles:

• A valid, unrestricted Motorcycle licence
• The skill, knowledge and ability to operate our rental motorcycles
• A major credit card capable to accept $2000 security deposit - fully refundable upon return of the Motorcycle undamaged.
• Minimum age 25
• Additional Identification (other than drivers licence)
• It is recommended that all passengers are present to sign the contract upon collection.

Long-term Rental
Special conditions apply for rentals of more than 50, 75, 100 days.

Minimum Rental
Our minimum period is 24hrs, therefore pick up and drop off times are the same. We only offer a half day rental on a Saturday which is from 08.30 – 12.30
As we are closed Sunday,  Weekend hire is pick up Sat and return Monday before 10.00am, we offer a discounted rate for weekend hire.

Additional Equipment
The following accessories are available for hire:

• BMW Tourance/ Gore-Tex Jacket or equivalent $50 per rental
• BMW Tourance/ Gore-Tex Trousers or equivalent $50 per rental
• Gore-Tex Gloves or Tank Bag $20 per rental
• BMW Navigator $200 per rental

Change of Motorcycle
If, for reasons beyond our control, the motorcycle you have requested is not available, we reserve the right to substitute a comparable or superior motorcycle at no extra cost to the client. If a comparable or superior motorcycle cannot be provided, a pro rated refund for the difference in models will be paid. The above shall not constitute a breach of contract and does not entitle the participant to any additional refund.

Changes of Contract
Changes to the contract are only valid in writing. Verbal changes are invalid unless confirmed in writing.

Road Restrictions
Southbank Motorcycles can only be ridden on sealed/bitumen or well maintained roads. No vehicles shall be ridden on un sealed or dirt roads. If you are renting a GS Series Motorcycle off road riding is allowed but please discuss this with the staff at Southbank Motorcycles prior to booking.

Motorcycle Return
All motorcycles must be returned with a full fuel tank (Premium unleaded). $1.50 per litre will be charged when refuelling at our Dealership.

Reservation and Deposit
At time of booking a deposit of $500 is payable. The deposit secures the booking and will make up the $2000 security deposit that is payable on pick up.
